Most denominations are having to focus their attention on issues of human sexuality. This concern is downstream from larger theological matters of revelation and the human body. In today’s More to the Story podcast, I offer reflections on recent happenings in The Salvation Army and mixed messages therein. Dr. Matt Ayars provides some feedback and observations coming outside of my denominational tradition.
There’s no doubt that this is the most sensitive, perhaps uncomfortable, podcast I have published. I put it out in the public view because I believe lines are being drawn, and I want to encourage those attaching their foundation to orthodox convictions. Pointon is a small village situated 7 miles (11.3 km) north from Bourne, in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Pointon and Sempringham, which had a 2001 population of 507. The majority of the parish's population live in Pointon.
Pointon is part of the ecclesiastical parish of Pointon and Sempringham. Its parish church, dedicated to Saint Andrew, is in Sempringham. Dating from 1170, it is a Grade I listed building. It was restored and the chancel rebuilt in 1868-69 by Edward Browning.Cox (1916) notes: "The parish church (St. Andrew) stands on hill 1 m. from its principal hamlet of Pointon". In 1885, Kelly's noted Pointon as being in the then parish of Sempringham-cum-Pointon and Birthorpe, with its church of St Andrew "situated on an eminence, overlooking the Fen district, about half a mile from any residence now existing".
Christchurch, in Pinfold Lane, Pointon, is a Chapel of Ease, erected in 1893 to support the work of the parish church. It is a tin tabernacle made from corrugated iron.

Most denominations are having to focus their attention on issues of human sexuality. This concern is downstream from larger theological matters of revelation and the human body. In today’s More to the Story podcast, I offer reflections on recent happenings in The Salvation Army and mixed messages therein. Dr. Matt Ayars provides some feedback and observations coming outside of my denominational tradition.
There’s no doubt that this is the most sensitive, perhaps uncomfortable, podcast I have published. Live interview with networking pioneer and investor, Andy Bechtolsheim filmed at The Next I/O Platform event on September 24, 2019 in San Jose. Hosted by Next Platform co-founder, Timothy Prickett Morgan. Bechtolsheim was one of the co-founders of a company that was a pioneer in scientific workstations, the first of which was designed at Stanford University, where Bechtolsheim was getting his PhD in the late 1970s and early 1980s. That company, of course, was Sun Microsystems, which was founded in 1982, went public in 1986, and reach $1 billion in sales by 1988 when the Unix server revolution in the datacenter grew out of the workstation market.

Pointon is a small village situated 7 miles (11.3 km) north from Bourne, in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Pointon and Sempringham, which had a 2001 population of 507. The majority of the parish's population live in Pointon.
Pointon is part of the ecclesiastical parish of Pointon and Sempringham. Its parish church, dedicated to Saint Andrew, is in Sempringham. Dating from 1170, it is a Grade I listed building. It was restored and the chancel rebuilt in 1868-69 by Edward Browning.Cox (1916) notes: "The parish church (St. Andrew) stands on hill 1 m. from its principal hamlet of Pointon". In 1885, Kelly's noted Pointon as being in the then parish of Sempringham-cum-Pointon and Birthorpe, with its church of St Andrew "situated on an eminence, overlooking the Fen district, about half a mile from any residence now existing".
Christchurch, in Pinfold Lane, Pointon, is a Chapel of Ease, erected in 1893 to support the work of the parish church. It is a tin tabernacle made from corrugated iron.
