How Fox News Uses White Supremacist Language
In a piece of opinion commentary, INSIDER's Manny Ocbazghi argues that Fox News programs have been echoing white supremacist language for some time now, specifically language tied to a conspiracy theory called “The Great Replacement.”
The Great Replacement is a theory that says nonwhite populations around the world are maliciously marginalizing and replacing white populations. This kind of rhetoric has become a popular talking point for Fox News pundits like Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham, especially when they do segments that cover immigration. Watch to see just how these Fox News programs do this and the effect it could have on their millions of viewers.

A Lot Of White Supremacists Seem To Have An Asian Fetish (HBO)
If you’ve seen footage of the Charlottesville marches, you may have noticed that Chris Cantwell, a white supremacist, has an Asian tattoo on his arm.
This actually isn’t that strange — a lot of White supremacists seem to have an unlikely fetish for all things Asian.
Take Charleston shooter Dylann Roof, who wrote in his manifesto of his “great [respect] for the East Asian races.”
“Even if we were to go extinct they could carry something on,” he wrote, musing later in the same document that Asians “could be great allies of the White race.”
Then there’s former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke, who has said that he was “impressed by the Japanese people,” and Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik, who praised South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan for “protecting their monoculture” in his manifesto.

St. Louis sergeant says there are white supremacists on police force
A growing number of police departments in America's largest cities told CBS News that they've added implicit bias training. Nevertheless, hundreds of officers in multiple states have been exposed for racist social media posts. In St. Louis, one sergeant whose department has officers at the center of the controversy said that the culture among her department's top brass is allowing bad cops – including potential white supremacists -- to slip through the cracks. Jeff Pegues reports.

On November 4, 2016, the National Socialist Movement gathered for a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event was four days before the US presidential election and featured speeches given by NSM commander Jeff Schoep and National commander of the America First Committee, Arthur J. Jones Jr. At the rally, leaders discussed how Donald Trump's presidential campaign has brought white supremacism into the mainstream and legitimized their beliefs. Mark Potok from the Southern Poverty Law Center contextualizes the event with his discussion of how Trump has created political space for extremists by courting the support and validating the beliefs of groups on the alt-right. The rally closed with discussion of how the neo-Nazi groups plan to organize a show of force on Election Day.

It’s all part of a pattern that appears to go back at least to Hitler. But modern white supremacists are taking their Asian fetish way further than Hitler ever did.
